How We Scale

I Get Knocked Down

Howdy, Zack here.

Ever feel like setbacks knock you off course? We all do. But here’s the truth: success is about how quickly we bounce back—not avoiding the fall.

I’ve lost count of the times I’ve stumbled in my career. Each stumble came with a choice—sit in frustration or stand up and adjust. And I’ve learned: resilience is the muscle that grows stronger every time we choose to get up again.

So how can we stay resilient, even when life throws punches?

At the moment of failure, it’s easy to feel stuck. You might doubt yourself, second-guess your decisions, or get caught up in what went wrong. But resilience isn’t about pretending the fall didn’t happen. It’s about responding with purpose—taking the next right step, even when things don’t go as planned.

Here are three ways to build resilience:

3 WAYS

  • Embrace Authenticity.
Forget perfection. Real leaders own their mistakes and show up honestly. It’s in those moments of vulnerability that trust is built—with yourself and others.
  • Focus Your Time.
We all have the same 24 hours. The trick? Aligning your energy with what truly matters. Say no to distractions so you can say yes to your faith, family, and meaningful work.
  • Know When to Pivot.
Persistence is powerful—but so is knowing when to shift gears. If something’s not working, be willing to let it go and course-correct toward better outcomes.

Just Remember:
The road to success isn’t a straight line—it’s filled with twists, falls, and recalculations. What matters most is that you keep going and keep growing. Stand tall, make bold decisions, and don’t be afraid to adjust the sails when needed.

3 FAVES:

  1. 🫖 Chaga Chai — Spicy fall goodness
  2. 📮 Kit — Want to start writing?
  3. 🍁 Utility — Looks like my style

Until next Wednesday, when you get knocked down, get up again—and keep going.
