But when it comes to being overloaded, it’s not about commitment; it’s about overcommitting. I remember a time when my wife, Gwen, suggested I might be 'a tad too involved' in community boards. You see, I was juggling so many roles: raising young triplets, helping grow the local Ed Foundation, coaching two soccer teams, and holding a board position for our soccer club. Not to mention volunteering at church and running my company—all while being the best husband and dad I could be. In my head, I was superhuman. For a while, I managed to keep all the balls in the air. But soon enough, things started slipping through the cracks. Work fell off track, my commitments became half-hearted, and the things that truly mattered—my faith, my family, and my health—were getting shortchanged.
